Photofacial are used to restore aged and sun damaged skin and also to reduce redness and flushing from the face and neck areas. The end result of a photofacial treatment is an overall more appealing young look with healthy looking skin. Photofacial procedure consists of gentle pulses of intense light that is treated to the entire face, which would predictably and consistently assist in providing an improvement on the appearance of the skins visibly. Unlike laser beams, this distinct light penetrates to all levels of the skin by emitting over many different wavelengths. Lasers are limited to one wavelength, which restricts its penetration abilities, and to what it can treat. Different levels of light energy are used in order to maximize the results for each client. When the light energy is delivered to the target area, it is being absorbed by the damaged tissue under the skin. Due to the unique nature of emission of light, even densely packed vessels of the smallest size could be reached and treated.
